What does it really take to get a good understanding of men?
Listen up and read what I’m going to say next, I am going to let you in on how the male mind thinks!
The trick to understanding men is, to not think too much. Women tend at times to say things indirectly, in hopes that the man will figure out what she really means. For example, she might say ” we never go out anymore”, which really mean, “I made a reservation”. A man may say” I want to have a super bowl party”, which means ” I want to have a super bowl party”.
Men like a bit of mystery. This does not mean that he wants you to be difficult. It also does not mean that he does not want to be sure that he can trust you. It does mean that you should do your best to keep things interesting.
Keep things in confidence. Understanding men means that you understand also that he likes his privacy.
He wants to feel like a man. Do not spend your time reprimanding him as if he is a child. If you do, and does not stop you, you will soon become his surrogate mother.
Appreciate his abilities, and remember he wants to share them. Allow him to help. Make sure to reciprocate. Do not take advantage. If you do, he will think that you are using him.
Chivalry is not dead. Let him open doors and pull out chairs for you. This is not the time to worry about “the women’s movement”, he wants to treat you like a lady. This makes him feel like a better man.
Men do not like women who play games with communication. Listen to what he has to say. Do not “half listen”, or take the attitude that you have heard it all before. Show that you are truly interested. If you are genuinely interested, you will be one step closer to understanding men.
