The games console industry has seen a huge shift over the past few years and this was mainly because of the Wii. You now see parents and female teenagers who would have never played a console in the past, now requesting one.

In person I believe the main grounds that people are no longer purchasing gifts such as rings and eternity gifts is because its just another affair to think about that people just cannot afford in this day and age. There is already so many occasions such as Christmas day and Birthdays, so there is genuinely no demand to keep purchasing romantic gifts, unless of course you are earning good amounts of money.
