To Get Your Ex Back

Re-establishing a relationship is possible. You might believe you want to get back with your ex girlfriend or get back with your boyfriend right after you split up because of the emotions that you are experiencing. In those lonely weeks and months when you are adjusting to life on your own it can be tempting to think that getting back with your ex will make you happy. Take some time to mull over your feelings before you jump headlong into repairing the relationship.

Is getting back with your ex the best way to bring happiness back into your life? Do you have memories of good times and bad times of your relationship? Is being on your own really that bad? When considering getting back with your ex you need to ask yourself will it really bring you happiness?  One would not mind reminiscing the loving memories of an affair and put aside the unsavory issues which culiminated in the separation to start with. You can easily settle for mainting the same old thing..that no relationship is worse than a bad relationship.

Actually most relationships are worth putting the time into saving. Unless there was any kind of abuse, a high level of violent fighting, emotional instability or substance abuse issues, you probably have a relationship that can be fixed. If the relationship was a good one to begin with then it might be worth taking steps to salvage it.

While staying connected in some way to them on a regular basis, give your ex emotional space. You need to have your ex thinking about you but you need to make sure you don’t cross the line of annoying them. It’s a nice idea to check in with your ex now and then, by doing so you express your concern and also show that you are doing fine. Make sure that you are not expecting anything from your ex. Gestures that are done must be simple and from the heart. You do not want to act out of desperation.

Getting into disagreements is the quickest way to ruin a relationship. Everything that you have ever said, done, or thought about will easily haunt you when time is spent alone. You have most likely discussed this already with your ex. It will give them new life to bring them up again, even just to apologize. The past is the past. Make peace with yourself first and peace with your partner will follow.

If you get it in your mind that the relationship is currently over you can free yourself from these nagging insecurities and begin the healing process. Even if it were possible, you can’t turn back time, so just get over it and move on! Focus your energy and emotions on what is going on now.

Don’t talk about the past or the reasons for the break up when you get together. It must be only about the present things. If the conversation comes easily and is reciprocated you may be on your way to rekindling things with your ex. More time and space may be need for your ex if he/she does not want to talk. Do your best to be patient with an ex-lover as the relationship is fragile. Keep it slow because it will take a long time.

By creating a space between yourself and your ex, both of you can grow as individuals and then return as whole, healthy people to a better relationship. You will be more likely to be missed if you are doing well and confident. This is the start of how to get your ex back!
