Before there was a 240Z, there were the Datsun 1500, 1600, and 2000. These 1961-70 Datsun convertible sports cars are overlooked by many auto buffs and collectors because they were overshadowed by the sensational, rakish Datsun 240Z.
Some say the Datsun borrowed (stole?) from the MGB, but the Datsun actually started production a year earlier than its British counterpart.
